Darthy is a 2001 graduate of North Dakota State University where she obtained a degree in Physical Education.  She played volleyball for the Bison from 1997 to 2000.

Upon graduation Darthy worked as a middle school physical education teacher in Parachute, Colorado.  She also managed several Chili's restaurants in the Twin Cities area where she received a great deal of her customer service experience.

In 2008, Darthy began her insurance career as a customer service representative for an agency in Magee, Mississippi.  She joined the Dawson team in 2009 as a commercial lines rater.  In 2010, Darthy was promoted to a commercial lines Account Manager.

In her free time Darthy enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her Chihuahua - Peanut.
