Sharon grew up in Fingal, North Dakota, the daughter of a creamery owner and butter-maker, so it's no surprise that her first paying job was as a butter wrapper!

Sharon began her insurance career as a health claims adjuster at American Life Insurance Company in Fargo, but marriage to her grade school sweetheart brought about motherhood and 27 years as an Air Force spouse.  Along with the opportunity to see a lot of the US and meet and befriend people from all over the world, Sharon found having insurance experience made job hunting with each move much easier.  She's been licensed and has worked in nearly every area of property and casualty insurnace in Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, California, and North Dakota and gained company experience with USAA in Colorado Springs.  Over the years Sharon has attended numerous insurance training programs and was the first CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) in the state of Wyoming. 

Military retirement brought Sharon and her family back to Fargo in 1998 when she accepted a position in the personal lines department at Holvik & Halvorson Insurance which became part of the Dawson Insurance team in 2003.

Sharon is now working part-time in the personal lines department on special projects and as an account manager.  Sharon's additional spare time outside the office allows her to do a lot of reading and to follow a passion to lend her sewing talents to creating Memory Bears for families who have lost loved ones.  She also has more time to visit her children in Denver and Washington, DC.
